Greetings TSES Families,
Thank you for everyone’s patience and support last week as we navigated the weather and a few changes to our arrival and dismissal. Our students did an awesome job following directions while they entered the building on Thursday!
This is a reminder that car riders should only be dropped off in the TSES carloop. Please do not use the Holly Court Community on Basket Ring Road as a pick up or drop off point. This is a private court for residents only, and students should not be dropped off there to walk to TSES.
A few additional reminders for this week:
Schools are closed tomorrow, Monday, January 22 for a Professional Work Day.
Starting tomorrow, January 22, at 8am, parents/guardians can begin registering for conferences. Please see below for additional details.

February Conferences
Elementary school parent-teacher conferences will be held Feb. 7th-8th. TSES will be holding English/Language Arts conferences for grades 1st-5th. RECC and Kindergarten will be having homeroom conferences.
Feb. 7th afternoon conferences will be in person and evening conferences for those teachers who are offering them will be virtual.
Feb. 8th conferences will be virtual for those teachers who are offering them on the 8th.
Parents/guardians can register via Connect beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, Jan. 22 through 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2. Directions for signing up are available here: https://help.hcpss.org/23-24/spring-conferences
SEL Family Night Out
Mark your calendar and plan to join us at school as we share strategies for Social Emotional Learning and ways to find out if your child is tech-ready. Students and their grown-ups are invited to school this Thursday 1/25 for dinner and a night of learning. This event will support our School Improvement Plan's school climate goals as we explore aspects of social emotional learning (SEL). Also, the PTA will also be presenting a READY, TECH, GO! workshop to promote a healthy digital home. Please RSVP for our event. Contact Mrs. Glassband or Mrs. Batman with any questions.
Book Drive
TSES is holding a new/gently used book drive this month. These books will be distributed at our Spring Bookmobile in March and placed in the Little Free Library. Please only donate books in very good condition. We will accept donations until January 31. Please bring the books to school or send them with your children marked "Book Drive". Please contact Mrs. Glassband with questions. Thank you!
