We have had a fabulous week at TSES and enjoyed our first Buddy Reader event of the year! The students enjoyed reading with students from another grade level and completing a fun activity together. We are looking forward to our next Buddy Reader event on November 21!
We are very excited about our upcoming Trot for Talbott event on November 11. Please see the flier for additional details.

Parent-Teacher Conference Registration
Connect opens for Parents to schedule Parent/Teacher Conferences on Monday, November 6 @ 8am and closes on Thursday, November 16 @ 4pm. Fall conferences will be held this year on 11/20 (in person) and 11/21 (virtual). Directions for how to register for a conference can be found here. We can’t wait to celebrate our students’ success with you!
Report cards will be available for families to view in Connect on November 8 @ 4pm. Please see below for some resources to help understand your child's report card.

How to Show our Gratitude to Veterans
At Talbott Springs Elementary, we would like to thank family members of our students who have previously served or are currently serving in any branch of the United States military. Please click on the link below and share your information so that we can give special recognition to the children, on Friday November, 10th. Please submit your information using this link, by today, November 3rd, to allow time for sharing information with classroom teachers to highlight during Social Emotional Learning time on 11/10. American Education Week
Please join us on November 14 or 16 to see your child in math class, have lunch together and attend a parent session. One of our School Improvement Plan goals focuses on student discourse in order to improve student achievement in the area of math. At the parent session, you will receive a game along with materials and information to help practice discourse at home with your child while having fun and doing math all at the same time! See the schedule below and look out for an invitation coming home with your child. If you are unable to attend during the school day, we will also be sharing information and materials on Tuesday 11/16 from 6:15-7:15 p.m. Please contact Alison Batman at alison_batman@hcpss.org or 410-313-6915 if you have any questions.
