Talbott Springs Elementary School
Talbott Springs Families,
What an honor it is to be able to welcome your children to Talbott Springs Elementary for the 2019-2020 school year! We have had the pleasure of ensuring that our students in Pre-Kindergarten through grade are supported and cared for in this transition to the new school year. To our returning families-we are so grateful to see your children again! To the families who are new to our school, thank you for joining us! Our staff and our families are here to support you! As always, please know that Mrs. Carr and I are here to listen to your concerns and your celebrations as your child(ren) grow through another year of learning. Please know that your input is valued and that your thoughts are important. We are here to assist you as your children develop as learners. Please read the information below for important events and dates that are part of your child’s school year. Also, please ensure that you visit the TSES website at www.tses.hcpss.org for calendar and general information. Again, thank you for sharing your children with us. I am looking forward to a wonderful 2019-2020 school year!

Free and Reduced Meal Application:
HCPSS participates in the Free and Reduced-price Meals (FARMs) program. Qualification is based on family size and income, and enrollment is confidential. Participation in FARMs qualifies students for a wide range of opportunities and resources beyond breakfast and lunch, including free college applications, free or reduced JumpStart tuition, discounted internet through the Comcast Internet Essentials program, and more. Families must submit a new application every school year. During the first 30 school days, students with FARMs eligibility from the prior school year will continue to receive benefits. Any student whose family has not filled out an application by the 30th school day will have their status changed to full pay until a new application is received. Parents/guardians are highly encouraged to fill out the applications as soon as possible. It is very important that applications are filled out accurately and completely. Apply online or Apply by mail: Paper applications are sent home with students on the first day of school. Paper applications can also be picked up in the Food and Nutrition Service Office (5451 Beaverkill Rd, Columbia, MD 21044).
